Andora and Dad: one character, ten styles
What you'll see
Andora and Dad wave, laugh, hop, bow, make the fox sign and cheer, and every three seconds the film changes the style they are drawn in: clean cartoon, comic book, watercolour, clay stop-motion, pencil, cut paper, flat vector, soft 3D, ink and wash, and pixel art. Then each of them takes a style of their own, Andora in watercolour beside Dad in pencil, and the film ends on all ten styles at once, the two of them still performing in every one.
How it was made
Made by the studio's engine. Each character is one file, designed once; a style is a layer the engine lays over the character's own drawing, so nothing about Andora or Dad is redrawn or lost when the style changes. A film can set one style for everyone, or give each character their own. The hand-made looks (watercolour, clay, pencil, cut paper, ink and wash, pixel art) run on twos, twelve drawings a second, as those films are made. No AI in any of it.
Good for
Any series or brand that wants to try its characters in another look, or change look later, without starting again: the same cast in a comic-book promo, a watercolour picture book and a clay holiday special.
